Well, my good friend over at A Whimsical Journey introduced me to the idea of a tiny house. She found these pictures online that just seemed so dreamy and amazing I can't even fathom the swooning that will ensue!
This image comes from the amazing blog My Shabby Streamside Studio and doesn't it look amazing? So our dreams are now in motion! We plan to build, in the near future and hopefully to house us during college, a tiny house through Tumbleweed Tiny House Company!
This is the house we plan on building.
It has a sitting room, a kitchen, a bathroom, a small back room (which we hope to use as our secret little library which can only be accessed through the use of a special golden skeleton key, teehee), and a porch. Upstairs, it has two bedrooms and a bathroom. We hope to renovate it to look shabby chic Victorian. We also plan to have a little greenhouse in our backyard (in honor of Vanessa over at A Fanciful Twist) as well as a pumpkin patch and possibly a wishing well.
The idea of owning a tiny house and being able to just dream and live out our fantasies in it sounds like the most amazing thing in the entire world!
Also, My Shabby Streamside Studio is having a giveaway for a pair of ballet shoes (don't you think this is fate? I just posted a plea for help in finding a pair of ballet shoes and low and behold--we can possibly win them! And from the very person who inspired our tiny house dreams! Who knew???)
This image can also be found on my blog sidebar and if you are interested in participating, just click here for your opportunity! You may never have another chance like this again, so I advise you to jump on it! (I know I did :)
And don't think that I've forgotten about the Christmas Tea! Mmm...I can already taste the delightful gingerbread I plan to bake...yumm! Don't worry, I will be back very soon with a lovely little pre-party post. I know I've been gone for a while and just wanted to say pip pip cherio!
Do you support our fantasies or do you think that this is much too far-fetched to ever become a reality? Leave a comment and let me know!
Have a delightful rest of your week!
Ta ta for now :)
xoxo
Jessica
P.S. If you approve of our crazy and wacky dreams, any suggestions for furnishings or styles?
Merry December!
I stumbled upon these pictures when I was looking for inspiration for my room :) Aren't they a delight? You're soooo wonderful to want to create one of these adorable spaces for yourself, if you can dream it you can build it. I think it is a SPLENDID idea, and I'd love to have one of these in my back yard. I personally need more shoe space though HEE HEE! Are you adamant about the white theme? I love the idea of white walls with wacky colors strewn about. Not tooo wacky though. Kind of like Wonderland. Perfectly Victorian and all, but kind of crazy Victorian. As though they lost all store for the rules. That's sort of my sense of style HAHA!
