The PINK Post {A Quest for Ballet Slippers...}

As you have probably guessed, the theme for this post is pink. A lovely shade of dreamy, cotton candy pink....

What is it about those beautiful, pink ribboned shoes that draws me toward them? For the past few days, I have been obsessed with finding the perfect pair of ballet flats that lace up the ankle...shoes I can wear in public and have others ooh and aah at with envy. I am not a ballerina. I took dance when I was a little girl but did not continue. I wish I had now...

But you don't want to listen to my wistful reveries. Sorry if I'm boring you, but I just can't help myself! I was watching one of my favorite movies--Ballet Shoes--and became absolutely enthralled. EVERYTHING pale pink. And beautiful and...pink. If you are one of those people who pukes at the sight of pink, I'm sorry. I am not a fan of that bright, bubblegum pink. I like more of a...dusty pale rose pink, or a cherry blossom cream cheese pale pink. Doesn't that sound delicious?

Please help me on my quest for these beautiful shoes. If you know of anywhere I can find them, leave a comment and let me know!

I must be off...I've got to finish putting up the Christmas decorations :)

xoxo

  1. I wish I knew where you could find shoes like that. They're soooo pretty. I love ballerina colors :) They make everything seem like a sweet cotton candy world. I also love the movie Ballet Shoes! Such a wonderful movie, especially around this time of year. This is going to sound sort of ridiculous but have you ever seen the Barbie movie Barbie and the Nutcracker?! I know... I am so lame. But seriously. It is WONDERFUL!

  2. Oh my goodness! I love Barbie and the Nutcracker too! Yay! I'm not alone! :) and I can't believe that you've seen Ballet Shoes too! The reason I saw it was because Emma Watson was in it...she is my favorite actress. But after seeing the movie I became obsessed and bought the book. Teehee :)
