Halloween Party in the Works....

Before we begin, I'd just like to point out that this is my 100th post :))

Anyway.....

It's this Saturday :)

And I am so excited!

Amazingly, it's perfect timing too, because this upcoming weekend is a three day weekend for us. So that means we get Monday off! Horray!

I have been surfing Pintrest in search of inspiration for a Halloween party that I plan to pull together last minute. I find that when I plan for something, it never turns out quite how I anticipated, and never lives up to my expectations. So I have a new game plan: if I don't have any expectations, I won't have to worry about disappointment.

I'm still deciding if I should do just a generic Halloween party--you know, the typical witches, dress-up, etc...or if I should pick a theme. Harry Potter would be a great theme, and I am a diehard fan.

Anyway, I'm going to share some of my inspirations with you :)

All of the pictures were found on my Pintrest

I am really gathering inspiration from huge chunky sweaters and warm drinks. Yesterday I had a pumpkin spice latte from Starbucks, and we bought some pumpkin spice flavored instant coffee for home. It's been great, getting to enjoy warm drinks for once. TODAY WAS OUR FIRST RAIN OF THE SEASON!!! I am just so thrilled. We hardly ever get rain. It felt like summer lasted forever....

This is just beautiful :)

Books + autumn = bliss.

Right now I am obsessing over the Twilight series. Of course, I have already read the series and seen all the movies, I am just in the mood right now :) I read the first book in two days and I'm almost done with New Moon. I started that one two days ago as well :)

Absolutely love this

This is also beautiful. I love the pop of the orange against the rainwashed streets :)

When the rain is on the pumpkin.

And what about this fall inspired kitchen!!!

I see it in my future....

love the table and chairs

There are also some great Harry Potter autumn inspirations. I love the thought of traversing Hogesmede with an autumn chill nipping at my ears, bundled in a Hogwarts sweatshirt....

Entering shops....

Particularly Honeydukes :)

(This has got to be my favorite picture ever.)

Anyway, this should be a really fun party :)

It's getting cold, tomorrow is Disney day at school, I'm reading New Moon obsessively....life is good. :)

Speaking of New Moon....

I have been really like Kristen Stewart lately.

I love her style.

Well, that's all for now, I suppose :)

I will see you again on Saturday with a lovely Halloween party! (Hopefully....as long as inspiration strikes, I'll be fine. Fingers crossed!)

xoxo

  1. Oh so much wonderfulness! I love that picture with the pumpkins along the street! So beautiful. I totally have a girl crush on Kristen Stewart, isn't that funny? Hehe I've always thought she was the coolest person too! Finally I have someone that agrees with me. Ok, where do you buy that Quidditch hoodie? I want it so much. Ahhh I love the world of Harry Potter! Honeydukes! You know the part in Hogsmeade in the 3rd movie, that's my favourite part of all the movies lol. I don't know why!

    1. I know I LOVE Kristen Stewart! And I also love that part where they go to Hogsmeade in the movie, as well as in the book :) Book 3 has got to be my favorite, and I'm not sure why....probably just because of all the new concepts. I mean, you've got the trips to Hogsmeade, Hermione's time-turner, Harry's invisibility cloak, the Marauder's map...AHHH! Love it! My friend and I were thinking of having a HP themed Halloween party....making all of the drinks and foods found in Honeydukes and on the trolley in the Hogwarts Express. Fun stuff!!!
